A Little Fall of Rain

This week was really busy so it was great!

Tuesday for temple service Hermana Brown and I got to clean the fountains. It was the closest I will ever get to swimming. Haha. It felt so nice to just wade in cool water for 2 hours.

Mario is still on date but not for the 25th. He came to a baptism on Saturday and decided he didn't want to wait until the 25th and asked if he could do it sooner!!! So we are changing everything for the 19th! I love Mario. He is so humble and has such a love for the things he has learned. Wednesday he had people over at his house but he didn't want to cancel our lesson so we taught him in the parking lot of his complex. I'm not kidding, golden investigator. We taught him the Word of Wisdom and he said it would be no problem. He hates coffee (what Latino hates coffee) and he doesn't overly enjoy drinking. He said he maybe had 2 drinks in the last 4 months. He had read Lehi's dream in the Book of Mormon and told us he wants to "hold to the rod" so whatever he has to do he wants to do it. Keep praying for his wife. She is completely supportive of his decision to be baptized but she doesn't want to. I have faith that one day she will. We hope that at his baptism she feels the spirit and it will spark a desire in her to learn more and to follow his footsteps.

Thursday was insane! Normally it's a really long day with not too many appointments but we were packed all day! We taught this investigator named Esther. She is a single mom and is really really sad. We taught her about the plan of salvation and how we can find joy. I told her about Kazen and how beautiful the Plan of HAPPINESS is. It was truly amazing. I felt my angel there right next to me. That is one of the most amazing parts of Being a missionary. You can feel the angels of heaven so strongly.

Friday we dropped a lot of people during weekly planning. Our teaching pool is Sahara desert dry. After we planned, we went Finding. We prayed and asked that we could find one person that day who was prepared and willing to listen to us. I am not kidding. The FIRST door we knocked was a family from Venezuela. They were so excited to meet us and listened so intently as we taught the restoration. We taught Auri, her mom, and her three kids. I'm not sure if there is a father. The grandma however told us that she'd met missionaries back in the 80's and had really liked them but at the time wasn't really interested. She said that now she really wanted to learn about what we had to share because she had remembered how she felt the first time and wanted to feel that again.  It was a miracle. We had prayed and asked for 1 and ended up finding 5! Heavenly Father is truly a God of miracles. His is also the reason for my subject to this email. We received a little fall of rain to our very dry desert.

As for Patricia, she is doing great. We are trying to help her gain a testimony. She said she knows everything, she just doesn't feel anything. We are having FHE with them tonight and teaching her about the Holy Ghost. Friday was Armando's Birthday so we went to his little birthday party. He is so stinking cute. At church he kept running up to us and giving us hugs. We love them so much! Monday they told us how they are wanting to move to Utah! Hermana Brown and I were so excited because then we could be close to them after our missions!

I finished the Book of  Mormon this week. I LOVE the Book of Mormon. Reading it everyday for an hour has been such an incredible blessing. My personal study is one of my favorite times of the day. I KNOW that the Book of Mormon is true. There is a reason it is called the keystone of our religion. I have found so many answers to my prayers by reading from it these last 3 and a half months.

I want to wish you all a happy Valentine's Day! Thanks for everything and I hope you all have a terrific week!

Love,
Hermana Kent
